Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a wife, mom to 3 wonderful adult children, and grandma to 2 adorable littles, so far. I recently retired from education due to medical issues, but my passion for helping young children still burns in me. I am currently watching my young granddaughter everyday and love helping her learn and discover the world.
I have been an educator for 30 years. I have a BS in child development and a Master’s in Education with a focus on curriculum and instructional design. I also have an endorsement as a Reading Specialist. I have been a classroom teacher, Primary Literacy Leader, and a Reading Specialist. I have received Outstanding Literacy Teacher Award and Super Star Instructor Award.
Learning and education has been a passion of mine for most of my life. I knew I wanted to teach at a very young age. I love working with young children and setting a firm foundation for their continued learning.
I believe learning begins before a baby is born and that it never ends. Children are such sponges and learn even when you think they are not, doing things you never thought would teach them anything. I want to share how easy it is to be your child’s first teacher and help get them off on the right foot.
